By train to Särkänniemi

It is easy to arrive to Särkänniemi by train. There is a bus from Tampere Railway Station that will take you to Särkänniemi in 20 minutes. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to Särkänniemi from the Railway Station. More information about train connections to Tampere is available here.

By bus or tram to Särkänniemi

Nysse public transportation is included in Carnival Wristbands purchased for fixed date

The benefit can be obtained with the Carnival Wristband or with the ticket-specific QR code found at the bottom of the ticket delivery message sent to the e-mail,on the visit date. Using it is easy: simply scan the QR code of the Wristband or the order confirmation on the ticket reader when entering bus or tram. You can travel between 11 am and 9.30 pm (10.30 pm on Saturdays) for a total of two journeys: to Särkänniemi and back.

The benefit only includes Carnival Wristbands purchased from Särkänniemi's online store. The benefit does not apply to other products such as Amusement Park Ticket, Doghill Ticket, or a product that is called "Särkänniemi Wristband, open date".

By bike to Särkänniemi

There are parking spots for bikes by the ticket booths at the main entrance. It is easy to bike to Särkänniemi through Tampere's bike lanes. By the ticket booths there are also city bikes available.

By boat to Särkänniemi

You can arrive to Särkänniemi along Lake Näsijärvi by boat as well. Mustalahti harbor located by Särkänniemi has a guest berth.

Arriving Särkänniemi by car

When arriving from the west (e.g. from Vaasa, Pori and Ylöjärvi) it is easy to arrive to Särkänniemi following Paasikiventie street. When arriving from the east (e.g. from Jyväskylä and Kangasala) you should drive through the Tampere Tunnel and follow the signs.

When arriving from the south (e.g. Helsinki and Turku) you can drive through Ratina and Hämeenpuisto to Särkänniemi or to one of the parking garages P-Näsinkulma (only in summertime), that are located within a walking distance from Särkänniemi.

Please note that the tram construction sites may cause some detours.

Parking in Särkänniemi

The space for parking at Särkänniemi is limited so we recommend you to arrive by using the public transportation.

Parking in Särkänniemi parking lots is chargeable on the days when the rides are operating. The price is 18 €/day. Parking is free on days when the amusement park is closed

The parking fee can be paid by card or cash at ticket sales and vending machines, or to the security guard by card (not cash) when leaving the parking lot. The parking ticket purchased from a ticket vending machine or ticket booth must be handed over to the traffic controller when exiting the parking lot.

Charging points for electric cars in the intermediate parking lot

In the Särkänniemi parking lot near the main gate of Särkänniemi, there are ten electric car charging points. The charging cost is 0,25€/kWh. You need the ToloGo application to charge your car in Särkänniemi. This app can be found in the Google Play store and the App Store. Through the application, it is possible to check in advance whether there are free charging points.

You can reach the intermediate parking lot through the upper parking lot: turn left to Särkänniemenraitti / Laiturikatu after driving to the upper parking lot. At the upper parking lot, turn right and continue along the edge of the parking area until you can turn right down to the intermediate parking lot. The charging points are at the end of the intermediate parking on the wall.

Guest parking at Sara Hildén Art Museum

There are parking spots available in front of Sara Hildén Art Museum where you need a parking permit. You can get a parking permit from the museum upon paying the entrance fee. Cars without a parking permit will be fined.

If these parking spots are full, you can park at Särkänniemi parking lot. Parking during the winter season is free of charge.

Unobstructed parking

Unobstructed parking is available near Särkänniemi Main Gate. The staff will help you with finding a parking spot. Parking at Särkänniemi is free of charge for the holders of the parking card for people with disabilities.
