It's easy to arrive to Särkänniemi
We recommend you arrive to Särkänniemi with other transportation methods than private car. It is easy to arrive to Särkänniemi by public transportation, bike, boat or also by walking from Tampere city center and nearby areas. There are coin lockers available by the main gate.
By train to Särkänniemi
It is easy to arrive to Särkänniemi by train. There is a bus from Tampere Railway Atation that will take you to Särkänniemi in 20 minutes. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to Särkänniemi from the Railway Station. More information about train connections to Tampere is available here.
By bus or tram to Särkänniemi
There are several local buses that run by Särkänniemi throughout the year. From Paasikivi street it is about 300 miters walk to Särkänniemi. You can also take the tram to Pyynikintori stop from where you can walk to Särkänniemi easily. Find more information about bus and tram routes here.
You can take bus number 2 straight to Särkänniemi. The bus runs route Rauhaniemi – Lapinniemi – Tammela – Tulli – Yliopisto – Sorin aukio (Ratina) – Koskipuisto – Keskustori – Hämeenpuisto – Särkänniemi.
By bike to Särkänniemi
There are parking spots for bikes by the ticket booths at the main entrance. It is easy to bike to Särkänniemi through Tampere's bike lanes. By the ticket booths there are also city bikes available.
By city train
The city train operates to Särkänniemi free of charge during the IIHF World Championships during the Team Finland’s game days (5.12., 5.13., 5.15., 5.17., 5.19., 5.20. and 5.23.). The street train also operates on possible playoffs days. The city train leaves from Original Sokos Hotel Ilves once an hour, between 11:00 and 17:00. The city train stops are at: Original Sokos Hotel Ilves Solo Sokos Hotel Torni Tampere Vapriikki Laukontori Särkänniemi The street train runs regularly to Särkänniemi from Monday to Saturday between 5th of June and 6th of August 2023. The city train route starts from Original Sokos Hotel Ilves on the hour from 10 am to 4 pm.

By boat to Särkänniemi
You can arrive to Särkänniemi along Lake Näsijärvi by boat as well. Mustalahti harbor located by Särkänniemi has a guest berth.
Arriving Särkänniemi by car
When arriving from the west (e.g. from Vaasa, Pori and Ylöjärvi) it is easy to arrive to Särkänniemi following Paasikiventie street. When arriving from the east (e.g. from Jyväskylä and Kangasala) you should drive through the Tampere Tunnel and follow the signs.
When arriving from the south (e.g. Helsinki and Turku) you can drive through Ratina and Hämeenpuisto to Särkänniemi or to one of the parking garages (P-Plevna, P-Näsinkulma and P-Frenckell) that are located within a walking distance from Särkänniemi.
Please note that the tram construction sites may cause some detours.

Parking
Parking in Särkänniemi
The space for parking at Särkänniemi is limited so we recommend you to arrive by using the public transportation. Paid parking at Särkänniemi is available for the price of 15 € per day when the rides are operating. Parking is free of charge when the amusement park isn't open. Parking is payed on the spot at Särkänniemi.
Guest parking at Sara Hildén Art Museum
There are parking spots available in front of Sara Hildén Art Museum where you need a parking permit. You can get a parking permit from the museum upon paying the entrance fee. Cars without a parking permit will be fined.
If these parking spots are full, you can park at Särkänniemi parking lot. Parking during the winter season is free of charge.

Unobstructed parking is available near Särkänniemi Main Gate. The staff will help you with finding a parking spot. Parking at Särkänniemi is free of charge for the holders of the parking card for people with disabilities.
