Planetarium returns

Särkänniemi's original, beloved and much-needed Planetarium is back!

Planetarium will feature two films, which are narrated in Finnish.

We the Aliens is a cool animation aimed at children, which deals with the fact that humans are also aliens and, from some point of view, very special aliens. The We are Aliens show can also be listened to in English and Swedish with headphones. Please ask the staff if you need the headphones.

New for 2025! STARMAP to the Unseen Universe also suits adult taste. In this fascinating story, we embark on an adventure through the solar system and beyond – passing the stars of the Milky Way and distant galaxies. Along the way, we witness stunning and colorful cosmic phenomena. Currently available only in Finnish.

A visit to Planetarium is included in Särkänniemi Wristband and Attractions Wristband. Single ticket can also be purchased for 9,90 €. You can use Edenred, Epassi and Smartum culture benefits at Särkänniemi when paying your own Planetarium Ticket.

Tampere Ursa star shows

This summer at Särkänniemi, you can experience astronomy shows presented by the star guides from Tampere's Ursa Astronomical Association. In the Solar System Show, you'll explore the most fascinating planets, dwarf planets, moons, and asteroids in our solar system. The guides will explain how the solar system and its planets were formed. The presentation also includes an introduction to exoplanets — planets that orbit stars beyond our Sun.

In the Stars and the Universe show, you'll learn about the life cycle of stars, with a special focus on the Sun, and embark on a journey through intergalactic space all the way to the edge of the observable universe

Please note that these guided star shows are only available in Finnish. They are not included in the wristbands or season cards.

The Tampere Ursa star shows are not included in wristbands, Season Card or Attractions Season Card. Ursa star shows are presented only in Finnish and there is no translation available.

Planetarium can be used for meetings and seminars as well

The planetarium is an interesting and historical dome suitable for meetings and seminars. Contact Särkänniemi Sales for more information.
