Inhabitants of Aquarium

Red lionfish

Fish

Our more than twenty aquarium pools are home to two hundred species of fish from around the world. We have both native fish species and colorful world travelers. What does a stingray look like? And what do piranhas eat? In the Aquarium you will also find a lot of information about different fish species and aquatic animal environments.

Chinese crocodile lizard

Reptiles

The aquarium also has reptiles such as lizards, snakes, turtles and caimans. The Chinese crocodile lizard and bearded agama are sympathetic lizards, but the cruel grin of Cuvier's dwarf caiman may frighten some. Do you notice what the difference is between turtles and tortoises? Snake fans can come meet the Bredl's python and the yellow anaconda.

Axolotls

Amphibians

There are also amphibians in the Aquarium, such as the yellow poison frogs, one of the most poisonous animals in the world, and axolotls that are salamanders that remain in their larval form throughout their lives.
